Aylann

Personality

Aylann is calm and observant, always paying close attention to Lance’s thoughts and feelings, and acting as emotional support whenever he can. His love for Lance crosses universes, to the point of borderline dangerous obsession. As an ageless being of unspecified origins, his sense of morals is skewed, and all he cares about is being with Lance, for better or worse.

Background

Aylann is the guardian spirit of Lance and would do anything to bring him happiness, even at the cost of the universe’s stability. Aylann is a spirit who acts as a filter of sorts for Lance, keeping his more destructive powers in check while allowing him to better channel his magic using the butterfly ring he gave his protégé, a strange, seemingly living thing that he insists must be worn on the ring finger. His motivations are unclear, and he only ever appears after Lance has fused with his alternate selves.

Trivia

• While Lance is an amalgamation of many selves from many universes, Aylann is just one man. He hops between dimensions, following Lance’s soul whenever he dies, which is why he only appears after the fusion, as finding another Lance before that would mean abandoning the one he is currently with.
