Parent species: Humanoid
Naga are reptilian humanoids with snake tails instead of legs who originate from underground tunnels, though another subrace eventually appeared after the Great Corruption forced many of them to the surface.
Depth-Dwellers
Depth-Dwellers have existed since before the Great Corruption, dwelling in elaborate, maze-like underground tunnels. Because of their preferred living conditions and the fact many perished during the Great Corruption, they are very rare. They can be recognized by their pale and/or desaturated skin, black sclera, and dark, cold-colored scales. They have strong night vision and are extremely sensitive to sunlight.
They are essentially ageless, becoming more powerful as time passes, and incredibly tough to kill.
Surface-Dwellers
Surface-Dwellers are the most commonly seen Naga nowadays. They typically live in warmer regions and have adapted to sunny environments. Their appearance differs from Depth-Dwellers, with darker skin, white sclera, and warm-colored scales. They cannot see in the dark.
Unlike Depth-Dwellers, Surface-Dwellers can die of old age, though they are still long-lived and resilient.
