Zel'nakah Vennelis

Personality

Zel’nakah is a calm and gentle young man who prefers living in peace. He has a big soft spot for cute animals and animal-people, and is known to smuggle cats inside his and his companions’ home, much to said companions’ dismay.

When his seal breaks, he becomes unresponsive and his right eye glows a bright white.

Background

Abandoned by his clan at a young age because his magic put everyone in danger, Zel was adopted by an old elf mage, Kelmar Vennelis. Kelmar sealed away the most dangerous parts of his magic into his right eye and taught him to control his regular magic.

The seal, hidden behind an eyepatch, might break if Zel’s magic becomes too wild (aka nat1 baby). The first side effect to this is the most obvious : his magic goes wild, and something random will happen (whether good, bad, or even lethal). The second side effect could arguably be considered the most dangerous : Zel loses control of himself, and attacks everything around him, foes and friends alike.

The seal will redo itself on its own, resealing Zel’s powers and clearing his mind. However, it becomes weaker each time. This was not a problem before, because Kelmar would strengthen it again, but since his death of old age, Zel finds himself with no way to strengthen the seal, not having the necessary knowledge to do it himself.

For that reason, he decided to take up adventuring in search of a mage strong and knowledgeable enough to help him with this issue.
