Morgan

Personality

At first glance, Morgan seems like your ideal young man : friendly, polite, helpful… However, he is actually extremely nervous around strangers, and will flirt as a defense mechanism. Most people just laugh it off, but it does make some situations even more awkward than they already were. Unfortunately for all parties involved, he can’t seem to control that specific nervous tic, but it does go away once he’s comfortable enough with you.

Background

Born to a Dryad mother and a Demon father, Morgan is a mysterious young man who lives alone, deep in the forest. He is greatly sought after thanks to his extremely effective herbal remedies and poisons (courtesy of his Dryad genes), although he is not easily convinced to sell the latter.

Morgan grew deep within the forest, and eventually left for another one closer to the city as he became an adult. Before leaving, his mother gave him a strange, translucent seed. He doesn’t know what it actually does, or what’s supposed to grow out of it, but he keeps it preciously. He has it on his person at all times, and panics when he misplaces it. He’s never planted it, feeling like it “wasn’t time yet”.

As a hybrid, his powers are more limited than full-blooded dryads or demons, however he has the abilities of both species. His father’s control over the elements, although weak for most elements, enhance his ability to manipulate plants, inherited from his dryad mother. This gives him the ability to make plants grow and move as he sees fit, although he is unable to turn them back to their initial form if he does.

Trivia

• His human form is an illusion that he maintains at all times, except when he’s completely alone. With strong enough powers, it’s possible to briefly see through his disguise if he gets taken by surprise or lowers his guard a tad too much, but he very quickly puts the illusion back up, making it seem like a simple trick of the mind.
• In a past life, he died from drowning in the sea. Although he has no memory of it, he retains a strong phobia of large bodies of water.
• The mysterious seed his mother gave him is actually a dryad seed, which will give birth to a dryad if planted, although Morgan is unaware of this.
