Laurelinn is obsessed with her god, Gorom, and while she accepts the existence of other gods, she thinks of them as inferior to the “true” god, Gorom.

That said, Laurelinn is generally good-natured woman with her own principles, and is always willing to lend a hand (even if it’s in the form of unwanted fortifications to your house).

After a failed mission with her adventuring comrades that ended in the deaths of thousands, Laurelinn was shaken to her very core. She had a drastic change of personality and faith, becoming more ruthless, switching her hammer for a sharp lance, and turning her faith to Oroax, the god of Destruction and War.

Background

Laurelinn was born into a family of farmers. Her father, Rislas, was a human noble who abandoned his title to marry his human wife, Sarra. Before meeting his wife, he had a brief romantic encounter with a beautiful High Elf woman, Aredhel, who left him shortly after Laurelinn’s birth, uninterested in pursuing their relationship further or taking take of their daughter. Sarra raised her as her own, along with their second daughter, Ninya.

As a teenager, Laurelinn was recruited into the Church of Gorom, the god of Stone and Architecture, and taught a more extreme version of His doctrine. She grew to develop a fanatic faith in Gorom, believing that He was the protector of humanity who shared with it His knowledge of architecture, effectively protecting them from both natural disasters and attacks.

A few years later, her younger sister, Ninya, left home to learn magic. Not long after, their father died of an illness. In her grief, Ninya turned to Necromancy, a fact Laurelinn is unaware of. Their mother Sarra lived a long life, and died of old age.

To this day, Ninya is still alive as a necromancer, and is around 70 years old.
