Personality
Shiram is gentle and caring, but also very passive. He’ll sooner let people walk all over him than even try fighting back, to the frustration of his loved ones. He resents his passive nature, as he feels he wasn’t there enough to defend the friends who got quarantined, and is trying to change and become more proactive to avoid another situation like the Great Corruption.
Background
Along with Felciu, Shiram is one of the only two individuals of his species and existed before the Great Corruption even happened.
He appeared one day as a baby, inside a dead hollowed tree, deep into what is now known as the “Forest of Blessings”. He was subsequently raised by a group of dryads, who taught him how to live in harmony with nature, and naiads who helped him control his clairvoyant abilities. One day, however, part of the forest was burned down and Shiram was forced to run away while his family did all they could to protect what was left of the forest.
By the time they managed to erect a barrier and expel the invaders, he had already been caught and taken away to a certain lab. There, he met another of his species, who was born the same day as him, in a completely different part of the same forest : Felciu.
In the lab, Shiram spent most of his time with Felciu, depending on him to stand up for him, and helping him make friends with the other subjects. They were eventually separated; Shiram was moved to another part of the facility to be studied for his clairvoyant abilities, while Felciu was put in a quarantine zone that was called “The Last Level of Hell” by its inhabitants for his rebellious, “dangerous” attitude.
Years passed and Shiram grew confined in the facility, never seeing anyone except for the scientists and missing his other half terribly. One day, the whole magical balance of the Earth shifted, killing almost every scientist. The sudden shift caused many “monsters” to panic, and the laboratory was destroyed as they all escaped. Shiram got trapped in the rubble, and was saved by an enraged Felciu, who had actually come to see him in order to kill him.

Back at the lab, Felciu and Shiram were inseparable, Felciu often standing up for the much more meek Shiram against other subjects and scientist, the latter which eventually landed him in quarantine. After that, the two spent a very long time apart, letting Felciu’s resentment grow while Shiram wallowed in loneliness. When the two finally reunited, it almost ended in Shiram accepting his death, though Felciu eventually came back to his senses.

Shiram and Laokh were fellow test subjects at the lab, and they saw each other often before Laokh was quarantined and Shiram confined to the lab.
